16 to 19 study programme

All students will be enrolled on a study programme that will be the equivalent of 3 A Levels / BTECs. The combination of courses that a student selects is student-led but guided by their prior attainment and also long term career plans.

In addition to the three qualifications stated above, students will resit GCSE Maths and English where a minimum Grade 4 has not already been achieved when they start at the College.

Study programmes at the College are full time only. Only in exceptional cases where there are medical grounds will students be permitted to complete a part time study programme.

Students have a wide variety of opportunities to engage in other non-qualification based activity. This can include but is not exhaustive: attending guest speaker talks, employer or educational visits, volunteering, sport participation, Duke of Edinburgh and academic competitions.

Our foundation programme, Year 0, is a full time study programme that equips students with the knowledge and skills required at A Level and BTEC. Students resit GCSE English and GCSE Maths aiming for a grade 5. Students also select two other GCSEs to study.
